Fashion Cloth Furushima established its 3rd joint venture Changzhou Furushima in Changzhou City, Jiangsu Province in order to respond to the expansion of garment production in China. Furushima has already established its joint ventures in Shanghai in 1995 and Qingdao in 1997. Furushima is to concentrate on the pre-shipment inspection in order to prevent shipment of defective products. Last year Furushima conducted inspection and mending on 5 million items in Shanghai and 3.6 million in Qingdao. Its business this year is going well and on the basis of these three factories, Furushima aims at further business expansion in China.
Total investment of the company is 25 million of which Furushima accounts for 45 %, Shanghai Furushima 15 % and Changzhou IMP.&EXP.Commodities Inspection Co.,Ltd.40%. Changzhou Furushima is headed by Zhu Ming Hai with Kazuo Furushima as its president. Its land area is 3,000 square meters with 1,200 square meters of building area. It is equipped with 5 vaccum and up-air pressing tables, 5 irons, 2 set of 5 automatic needle detectors with conveyer, 5 hand needle detectors, 5 knit lighting system, 7 special sewing machines, 2 cleaning guns for stain removal and others.
It employs 50 people. It plans to be able to carry out 2 million items of inspection and mending annually.
